Taylor is senior communication major and gender studies minor who is passionate about journalism, grammar and politics. In her spare time, the Salt Lake native enjoys the outdoors and hiking in the Uinta Mountains. Taylor brings five years of news experience to The Forum. She got her start reporting on city government for The City Journals, spent a summer exploring broadcast journalism at ABC4 Utah and most recently joined the team at The Salt Lake Tribune as a political reporter. Taylor is excited to spend her second year as editor-in-chief of The Forum further developing the news organization she loves.

MCCALL MASH

Managing editor

McCall is a senior communication major and public health minor who is a lover of new food, the fine arts and storytelling. When she’s not busy editing, you can find the Salt Lake native playing outside, hopping on a plane or enjoying a cup of tea. McCall began her career as a reporter covering education for The Sugar House Journal, she also spent a semester pursuing her passion for geology as a ghostwriter and copy editor with the Utah Geological Survey and experimented as a broadcast news intern with ABC4 Utah. She is eager to spend her final year at Westminster as The Forum’s managing editor.

MAKAYLA KIRK

Business Director

Makayla is a sophomore studying communication and geology. She loves the spotlight and you can often catch her giving the closing announcement at work or being the first to present in class. When Makayla isn’t studying or reading the news, you’ll find her playing outside in any way possible. She has dreams of becoming a news reporter and visiting every national park. She completed an internship with KSL during her senior year in high school. Makayla is thrilled to be this year’s business and advertising director and spend time in journalism.


JESSE CERVANTES

Production Manager

Jesse is a junior communication major who loves graphic and web design. His work is rooted in research, experimentation and finding imaginative solutions to complex problems. His ultimate goal for his design is to enhance a user’s experience when he or she navigates through his work. When he isn’t designing, Jesse spends most of his spare time traveling and hiking in his backyard, the Wasatch Mountains. Jesse is excited to put his background and skills to use designing The Forum’s monthly newspaper as its production manager.


STEPHANIE HELD

Online and Social Media Manager

Stephanie is a junior communication major and history minor who is spirited about telling stories. The Utah native loves to travel and enjoys discovering new places and foods. She is extensively involved on campus as a club officer, Honors College peer mentor and research assistant for the communication department. She has previously written for Honorable Mention, the Honors College’s bi-annual newsletter, and is thrilled to lend her skills to The Forum team as its online and social media manager.

BERIN KLAWITER

Video and Podcast Director

Berin is a senior communication major and self-proclaimed photography and videography nerd. When he isn’t behind the lens, he can be found enjoying the Wasatch Mountains through mountain biking and snowboarding. Berin has worked in photo and video for over four years and currently works as a freelance photographer and videographer. He is excited to share stories of the Westminster community as the Forum’s video and podcast director.
