Men’s golf ranked #1 after first round of tournament

The Westminster College men’s golf team is ranked first out of 10 teams, leading after the first round of the Sixth Annual MJGA Collegiate. Five Griffins finished in the top 10 to combine for a first-round score of 283 at the par 72-6,983 yard, Aliante Golf Club.

First-year student Max Lunt sits along a top of the leader board after shooting 33 on the front nine and 35 on the back nine to finish 4-under, 68. Sophomore Masen Ward, junior Alex Debry and sophomore Alec Williams are tied third with a score 1-under, 71.

Junior Logan Skalka, tied eighth, carded 1-over, 73, and sophomore David Timmins, tied-20th, carded 5-over, 77.
